The V-22 Osprey is a Support aircraft in Dinogen Arena and Online.
Being a tiltrotor VTOL, the Osprey can either fly like a regular plane, or transition into vertical flight mode to hover in an area.
Dinogen Online[]
In Dinogen Online, the Osprey appears in both Ranked and Survival mode.
Ranked[]
Ospreys make an appearance in the Evolution mode; when the Dinosaurs evolve to become a Carnotaurus, an Osprey will be deployed in place of the MH-6.
It will drop off a Turret and Ammo package, and also fire on the Dinosaurs using its powerful 25mm explosive autocannon. Upon dropping off its packages, the Osprey will fly away, leaving the Humans to fend for themselves with the Turrets.
Survival[]
The Osprey appears as a Boss unit in Militia and Chaos Survival, starting from Wave 15 onwards. Its explosive 25mm cannon can easily end the Survivors, especially when paired with assaulting Juggernauts on the ground. Afterwards, it will consistently appear every 5 waves, and sometimes in regular waves.
The use of Air Defence systems, such as multiple SAM turrets, or the Sniper and Railgun turrets is crucial to destroying an Osprey; MANPADS such as the Stinger often cannot be relied on to destroy it in one missile.
The Osprey can also be deployed by Survivors through the Airdrops section of the Tactical Crate. It costs $15,000.
When called in, the Osprey will hover at the location it was deployed at, and drop off 3 packages containing random contents. These contents can be Ammo, Weapons, or Turrets. It will also fire on hostile ground forces.
Friendly Ospreys can be used when cornered to wipe out a large number of ground forces, and up to 2 can be active at a time.
