The Railgun Turret is a defensive support item. It's the best automated turret in the game that you can get, combining extremely high dps, range, penetration, and being able to detect and fire at airborne targets.
Uses[]
A survival exclusive late game automated turret, expensive, but very effective. It's recommended to not place these at the frontline even with their increased hp as they don't have infinite range and will still be destroyed easily I also recommend not depending on these for anti-air either as they cannot shoot over walls unlike the SAM turrets which were made for that purpose. Instead, you should place them somewhere behind sandbags in front of a chokepoint where they can utilize their high penetration and hit multiple enemies at once. They are VERY expensive to replace when destroyed but can dominate most enemies, even shredding savage trexes quickly, so it's highly recommended to only use these during late game after you bought everything else you need.
